Long Distance Triathlon
I’m 31 years of age, am Married to Mands and we have a baby girl Alex. We live in Taupo NZ, a wicked place to live and bring up kids and we hope to be here long term. I have been competing as a pro Ironman triathlete for the last 2 years. I love the sport and all the benefits it brings to me. The fitness, the buzz from being able to compete against the best in the business and most of all the people you get to meet and create friendships with. Every race I try to develop to another level, I dont want to wake up in a sweat when Im 50 with the "what if..." thoughts!

Ironman Triathlon
I raced my first Ironman in Taupo in 2002 after a few years’ introduction into triathlon. I have since raced another 6 iron distance events. As of 2008 I have been coached by Val Burke. My best result is finishing 15th amongst 30 Pro women in Quelle
Challenge Roth in July 2008, however the highlight of my career is finishing in Kona in 2006. This race was a blast! My next goal is the local long distance race in Wanaka – Challenge. I am really looking forward to racing on home soil. Ultimately I would love to race in Kona again and aim to achieve this in 2009. Due to triathlon being a relatively small scene in the south of the South Island, I use running, biking and team Multisport events to help prepare me for my events. I used to be one of a handful of triathletes in town, and am now thrilled to see the sport being embraced by all kinds of folks. Sharing this with people of all types of abilities keeps me motivated.
